Rahel Getinet is an experienced and dedicated Program Manager with a strong background in program and grant management. With over 13 years of professional work experience, she has honed her skills in writing proposals, reports, and program planning. Her expertise lies in implementing the gender transformative approach, focusing on women’s empowerment and child development. Additionally, she has keen interest in environmental protection, particularly in addressing climate issues and promoting food security in rural areas.
Throughout her career, she has held various positions that have allowed her to grow and excel in her field. Currently, she serves as the Program Manager at Community Transformation Ethiopia (CTE).
In addition to her role at CTE, she is also actively involved as a CTC at Plan International Ethiopia, where she volunteers her time to develop strategic planning modules and provide training on resource management and mobilization. She also offers coaching and guidance for organizational development. As a passionate advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment, she volunteers as a member of the Civil Society Organizations Advisory Group at UN WOMEN. In this capacity, she actively participates in intergenerational policy dialogues and help organize national and international events.
Rahel holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychology from Jephthah International College and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Radiant International Seminary Ethiopia. Additionally, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Land Resource Management and Environmental Protection from Mekelle University.
She is married and mother of 4 Children
