About Yonas Mitiku

Yonas Mitiku has more than 10 years of experience in:

• Managing and directing DFID-funded programs for maternal and neonatal health and Federal HAPCO-funded projects for HIV prevention
• Program Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation; and Grant Management focusing on child support and protection, women socio-economic empowerment, climate change adaptation and mitigation, youth development, social accountability, human rights and democracy.
• Excellent knowledge and experiences on project cycle management, logical framework approach, results-based approach (RBA), and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems and frameworks.
• Working with donor funded projects and programs (Child Fund, USAID, CSSP, EU, SIDA, UN Women, World Bank (Social Accountability Project) and National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering capacity development trainings (project management, social accountability & monitoring and evaluation) for different groups.
• Writing winning project proposal (European Union Civil Society Fund I and II from EU, Ethiopian Social Accountability Program 2, Climate Change Adaptation and mitigation project from SIDA, democracy building project from NED).
• Preparing reports to donors and partners, and coordinating the compliance to grant requirements.
