Binyam Kifle

Binyam Kifle is one of the development agents in the country with over 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector. He has worked with marginalized groups in his community and has strong passion for the betterment of his nation. Binyam began his career by volunteering for CGJJ (Children of Gift of Jessie and Judah) and GSA (Good Samaritan Association) before being employed in both organizations. He later participated in founding MICDA-Mirikat integrated Community Development Association, an organization that works with elders, mothers, and orphan vulnerable children. Despite being born and raised in the capital city, Binyam is brave enough to work in one of the remotest areas of our country, Benishangul Gumuz regional state Dibate and Bullen woreda, as a social worker with MCMDO-Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization in a youth project funded by Pathfinder International.

Binyam joined VSCE-Voice for Street Children Ethiopia as a project officer and worked his way up to program manager and executive director. During his time at the organization, he led projects such as school feeding and education, vocational training, tertiary education scholarship, microfinance cooperative, Shelter for OVC-orphan vulnerable children and Family support for HIV/AIDS victims. With his team of 63 staff and 7 departments, he managed to serve over 1436 direct project participants.

Binyam Kifle has a bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Leadership from Ethiopia Adventist College. He certified for his outstanding academic performance at the college. He also has a master’s degree from Addis Ababa University in Regional and Local Development Studies in 2015. Binyam is one of the few trainers of Citizen Generated Data in the country.  He is also a certified para-legal service provider regarding GBV-gender based violence. In addition, Binyam has accumulated rich experience in research work during his service at Plan Development Consulting and Trade PLC and WAAS international Plc. After joining PIE-WVL Core Trainers Coaches team Binyam has provided hand hold support and trainings to AWA, AWF, Egna LeEgna, SINQE and I Care on resource mobilization, grant management, and strategic planning.

Currently, Binyam is nominated by founding members to the team of CTC leadership to bring all his experience and technical expertise.
